Katz & Associates is helping to bring a prominent bank to a prime corner in Broward County. Katz’s Eric Spritz and Daniel Solomon, CCIM, represented the landlord in a new lease to bring Ocean Bank to The Waverly at Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Ocean Bank will be located at the corner of N Federal Highway and Broward Boulevard (100 N Federal Highway) and will occupy almost 5,500 square feet. It is anticipated to open by the end of this year. CBRE’s Paco Diaz represented Ocean Bank in the transaction.

QDOBA Mexican Eats, which recently signed a multi-unit franchise deal with Michael Guiffre to bring 30 locations to South Florida in the next 10 years, has retained Katz & Associates as a real estate partner. Katz’s David Emihovich and a team of Katz advisors will help secure sites for the fast-casual Mexican restaurant brand in North Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties. Emihovich will be working with Guiffre who secured the territory for the development rights of QDOBA and who will serve as the operating partner.

Katz & Associates’ Jonathan Greenberg represented Hoboken Theaters LLC in the sale of the 20,000-square-foot former Bow Tie Cinemas to Hoboken Grace Community Church for $13,000,000. Grace Church will be using the site at 409 14^th Road as their new headquarters and community center for services, concerts, school graduations, and other activities. It is anticipated to open later this year. JLL’s Jon Compitello and Dan Spero represented Hoboken Grace Community Church in the transaction.

America’s largest and most complete arts-and-crafts retailer Hobby Lobby is announcing a new, freestanding 55,000-square-foot store coming to The Villages in Florida. Longstanding real estate partner, David Emihovich of Katz & Associates, worked with Hobby Lobby’s Matthew Abnet to secure the location in Buffalo Ridge Plaza. Hobby Lobby will take possession in Q4 2022 and anticipates opening around Memorial Day 2023.

Katz & Associates’ Amy Staats represented The Jemstone Group in two new leases at Staples Plaza in Shrewsbury, New Jersey. Rumble Fitness (2,405 square feet) and Stretch Lab (1,359 square feet) are slated to open this summer, at the Plaza which is located at 1021 Broad Street. Ripco’s Howard Goldman represented Xponential Fitness, the curator of leading fitness brands including Rumble Fitness and Stretch Lab, in the deals.

Peak Design, carry solutions for creatives, commuters, and adventurers, has signed a lease for its first dedicated East Coast retail store. Katz & Associates’ David Yablon represented Peak Design for the store coming to 241 Lafayette Street, between Prince and Spring Streets, in Nolita, New York City. Christopher Owles and Sarah Shannon from Sinvin represented the landlord.
