America’s largest and most complete arts-and-crafts retailer Hobby Lobby is opening three new stores in Florida this summer, and longstanding real estate partner, David Emihovich of Katz & Associates, is pleased to help secure the locations: Panama City (opened July 6, 2020), Pembroke Pines (opened August 8, 2020), and River Landing (slated to open on September 7, 2020). Traditionally situated as freestanding stores in suburban areas, River Landing in Miami will mark Hobby Lobby’s first multi-level project in the country that will be set in an urban shopping center and feature a more vertical layout.

Caplan’s primary focus is landlord representation in New Jersey and New York, though he also represents select national and regional retail tenants in their expansion across the greater New York City metropolitan area. He is a seasoned retail and office real estate leasing professional with over 13 years of experience working as an in-house Director of Leasing for major commercial property owners, including Ashkenazy Acquisition, Gladstone Development Corporation, and The Mattone Group, with a concentration on retail properties across the northeastern United States.
