Karen Maerovitz serves as a Senior Director at Katz & Associates. She focuses on tenant and landlord representation as well as new business development throughout South Florida.
As a South Florida native, Karen is knowledgeable about all markets, primarily in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. Karen is an expert at attending and planning professional networking events. She launched Brokers Who Zoom in 2020 at the height of Covid when attending networking events in person were not possible. This became a platform where brokers connect via Zoom to discuss expanding retailers and properties they represent. During Covid, the concept spread across the East Coast. Karen was honored as a South Florida Woman CRE Dealmaker of the Year by Bisnow in 2024.
Karen has represented clients such as LEAP, Great Clips, Vitamin Shoppe, Jackson Hewitt, Marco’s Pizza, Morelia Gourmet Paletas, Carrot Express, Xponential Fitness, Advanced America, Amazing Lash Studio, Deka Lash and Gamestop to name a few. Karen has represented Landlords that include Starwood, Arena Capital, BlackRock, Gables Urban, Konover South, Morgan Stanley, Rialto Capital, Summit Realty Corp, Terranova Corp., Rilea Group and 13 Floor.
Karen holds a Marketing Degree from The University of Miami. She is a mother to a little girl and a huge fan of Wonder Woman. Don’t be surprised if you see the famous W somewhere on her. Karen is a member of the ICSC and has held several leadership positions for over 11 years with the organization.
