Amy Staats serves as Vice President for the Northeast Region. Amy lends 15+ years of commercial real estate leadership and experience to Katz & Associates since joining in 2010. Her clients include Ross Dress for Less, Party City, Miller’s Ale House, Vitamin Shoppe, 85C Bakery Café, SalonCentric, Joe’s Bagel & Grill and Taim Mediterranean. She currently represents over 1.1 million square feet of lifestyle, freestanding, power, community centers and pad site opportunities throughout New Jersey.
Amy kicked off her career at Linens ‘n Things in 2001, where she used her analytic talents to drive expansion efforts, launching over 200 new stores. In February 2006, she left the retailer to begin her brokerage career with Robert K. Futterman & Associates, primarily focusing on landlord representation. In her career, Amy has helped the growth of many restaurant and retail companies, brokering deals with Joe’s Crab Shack, Brick House Tavern + Tap, Miller’s Ale House, Firebirds, First Watch, The Taco Truck, Bar Louie, Starbucks, McDonald’s, Jersey Mike’s, Joe’s Bagel & Grill, Crunch Fitness, Aldi, Avenue, European Wax, Massage Envy, Marshall’s, Total Wine, Home Sense, Select Medical, ULTA Beauty, and SalonCentric.
In addition to tenant and landlord representation, Amy has also provided 3rdparty consulting for corporate Real Estate Departments such as Avenue, Plus size fashion for women, as a real estate liaison. Projects include: portfolio evaluation, sales analysis using internal and market level metrics, creating overall real estate strategies for new expansion, disposition, relocation, lease restructuring, and lease renewals. She currently serves as the Master Broker for The Vitamin Shoppe in 13 states.
Amy is a paralegal graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University. She is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and is a licensed Real Estate Sales Associate in New Jersey and New York.
